РАΖ! (2002)

A bunch of students live in an apartment in Bologna, during the 70's. This is a 24-hour sample of their ordinary life, where, between marjuana, school, university, girls and political contrasts, spectators can get a nice and colourful picture of that time, of those people and of their ideas and problems. Crazy, halucinated, somehow "Trainspotting Italian style", this movie was taken from comic strips by Andrea Pazienza and it respects very well their atmosphere and style.

RÜCKENWIND (2009)

Two young men, Johann and Robin, take a trip into the countryside. The more they walk the forests of Brandenburg, the stranger their adventure becomes. Bikes disappear, maps prove useless - and each gets to know a new side of the other. Johann and Robin regard the new situation as a kind of sporting challenge. They allow themselves to just go with the flow. After several days of hiking, the two lads arrive at an old farmhouse inhabited by a woman and her adolescent son. The men receive a surprisingly warm welcome and soon begin to share the small family's daily routine and their secrets. For a while they enjoy an enchanted round of excursions and storytelling, flirting and games - until one day the new companions

get too close for comfort. Johann and Robin are flung out of their refuge and back into the world at large. Light Gradient tells the story of a journey of two men, travelling light, searching for the truth beneath the facade, for fairy-tale moments in the heart of the countryside, and for a natural gay relationship far from the madding crowd.

A Feast for the Erotic Gourmet.

Liberated '70s couple seduce another couple into experimentation with bisexuality and group-sex.

This good-natured sex romp follows the sexually insatiable exploits of a bisexual swingin' married couple who wager bets on who can seduce who in a set amount of time. The calculating pair set their eyes and loins on a naive couple with the emphasis on same sex couplings. In action quite explicit for its time, their mission is accomplished and, voila, two more queer converts!

The visuals of the film frequently deal with taboo subjects, and much of the film is considered to be disturbing to the audience. As the film progresses, the viewer encounters such subject matter as masturbation, menstruation, and cannibalism, as well as frequent depictions of bodily fluids of every kind. Hussain's vision for the film was to present an unforgettable visual and sonic experience, and to challenge popular ideals of film. Screens:

The Dreamers (2003)

A young American exchange student, Matthew (Michael Pitt), has come to Paris in order to study French. Though he has lived there for several months, and will stay in Paris for a year, he has made no friends. As a huge fan of film, he spends most of his time in the cinemas. He comes into a rapid friendship with a Frenchwoman, Isabelle (Eva Green), and her brother, Théo (Louis Garrel). Isabelle and Theo are twins, and were originally conjoined at her right and his left shoulder, respectively. Throughout the film, scars on their shoulders can be seen. All three have an avid love for movies, especially "the classics". As their friendship grows, Matthew learns of the extreme intimacy shared by the siblings and gets pulled into their world. Over time he falls in love with them, and the three seclude themselves from the world, falling further and further from the reality of the 1968 student rebellions. An abrupt ending to this relationship comes when that world is shattered and they are compelled to face the reality of 1968 France.
